How much does a music teacher usually charge music lessons when they come to your home?

I'm bartering with a music teacher 1/2 hr lesson once a week and I massage him 1 hr twice a month but I didnt agree to that yet because I usually charge for a hour So should I ask him how much he charges and if it's a total of for an hour should he have to teach me at least 45min instead of a 1/2hr once a week? Or should I just do my hour verses his hour? What would you do? Just bit the bullet or say something?

I can’t tell you current prices, but I think I paid over $60/hour 40 years ago when I was taking private lessons. If he is a real professional, I would expect it to cost far more than a massage.
I pay $60 for a private lesson in my teacher’s studio. I’ve heard people pay up to $100 per hour depending upon the expertise of the instructor. I think it’s tricky the way you are going about it. It would be better in the long run to keep the massages and the lessons totally separate.
My friend is a music teacher and does private lessons on various instruments at people’s houses for $20 per half hour
What level are you >
and what instrument are you taking ?
Where I live, they charge $ 95 per month for beginners, more for advanced level. The fee increases according to the level grade.
Higher levels can cost anywhere from $ 50 an hour onwards , to $ 125 in some places, depending on the instructor’s qualifications. It depends on the grade level.
Here the students go to the teacher’s house or the music studio.
I would keep my massage and music lessons separate, Since the value of education is priceless. You can’t really compare a massage ( or a facial ) with a music lesson.
