I've been requested to teach an oboe lesson, and I've never really had a student before. I'm wanting to give my new student a proper education into the music world. I haven't been informed on how much music backround my student will have, but I will soon. From what it sounds like, they are a complete novice and have no musical knowledge into their system. Any tips on teaching better lessons and allowing the new musician to keep interest?

just asking, are those who takes lessons playing musical instrument comes from a wealthy family? i mean music lesson is very expensive

i play violin for 4 years and stopped taking private lessons because of some financial issues. i really want to continue but i can still practice by my own starting today (today's my last day of violin lesson)

it just bugs me, are great violinists USUALLY comes from wealthy family that can afford the lesson' costs?
